From November 1,2024: the latest national standard of ferrochrome

The National Standardization Management Committee has issued the National Standard Announcement of the People's Republic of China (2024 No. 6), officially approving and releasing the recommended national standard 《GB/T 5683-2024 Ferrochrome》, led by our city's Jitie Ferroalloy Co., Ltd. The standard will be implemented starting from November 1, 2024.
This standard replaces 《GB/T 5683-2008 Ferrochrome》, improving technical requirements for ferrochrome, product sampling and preparation, and adding technical performance requirements for certain elements. It plays a significant role in promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the ferrochrome industry, ensuring the quality of ferrochrome products, and driving the series production and large-scale production of ferrochrome, as well as the universality and popularization of ferrochrome testing technologies. This standard is of great importance in advancing industries such as stainless steel and is a key task in the construction of a low-carbon, energy-saving, high-quality standard system for ferroalloys.
